So. This is it. I know it's unconventional to start a new way of life on a Friday. But oh well...
In my last post, I forgot to say something really important. I am a type 1 diabetic and I have been for almost 6 years. BED and diabetes are really hard to manage together because eating a lot of food makes my blood sugars go way up. For those of you who don't know, there is a MAJOR difference between type 2 and type 1 diabetics. No effense to any type 2's out there, but yours could've been prevented if you had taken more care of yourself. Exercise. Type 1, my kind, is caused by genetics. I got it when I was little and no, I didn't get it from eating too much candy. (I hate it when people ask me that.) Everyday, I take insulin shots before I eat and whenever my blood sugar is high. I used to have an insulin pump, but it was causing my blood sugars to be super high, so I switched to injections. The reason I bring this to everyone's attention is because there is a gigantic difference between both types of diabetes. I hate it when people generalize it and say "Oh, yeah, she has diabetes" And people automatically assume the fat kind. I just want people to be more informed; they're not the same!
Anyway, this morning I have to go get some blood drawn because I have a hormone imbalance and they're trying to figure out what to do. I had to fast this morning, so no breakfast. I'm so glad it's Friday though because school is exhausting.
PS: Again, if anyone wants to comment on this or just share their story, feel free to post anything.
